Thomas Joseph Erak (born March 7, 1985), is the former lead guitarist and lead vocalist fromMukilteo, Washington based progressive rock band The Fall of Troy. His new project, Just Like Vinyl, was officially announced on July 8, 2010. Thomas is currently endorsed by Gibson USA,Orange Amplification, Ernie Ball and Nike footwear. He used to provide vocals for the now defunct Seattle hardcore band, The Hills Have Eyes. Prior to The Fall of Troy and The Thirty Years War, Erak was also in a band called Tribune with Mike Munro and Jay Beaman. His father played as a session musician with The Eagles,[1] playing the bass guitar, and touring with hisside project.[2] As well as this, many of his family members were musicians. As a guitarist, he claims to be influenced by Jimi Hendrix, Billy Corgan and Dave Knudson.[3] As a writer, he claims Kurt Cobain is his biggest influence. He has been playing the drums since he was 2 years old, yet has only been playing the guitar since 2000. Thomas Erak was also picked by the editors of Alternative Press magazine as the Guitarist of the Year for 2007.

Just Like Vinyl played a "small debut-set" on July 16, 2010 in the Seattle area at "9 p.m sharp".[4] They were the only performing band. They are also working on their debut EP throughout all of August.
